Scrapbook layout based on sketch - Creative Retreat

Hi there! Today I will sho you the first project what I have been creating with the beautiful Creative Retreat Blue Moon September Kit is a 12″ layout. I used the Creative Scrappers #298 sketch as a starting point. Lately I love to use sketches, it is so fun to see how many differently creations come up from one sketch.
But back to the layout. First I hand stitched the circles, for this I chose matching colored threads: blue, pink, aqua and gold.

Then I splashed blue watercolor on the left side of the circles inspired by the Pinkfresh Studio Leatherette Alpha Stickers.

Then I created three 3″x3″ clusters, here I placed also my photo. For embellishing I used the pretty Creative Retreat exclusive chipboards, some rose flowers from my stash.

It is hard to choose my favourite from this month’s kit, but the Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills puffy stickers definitely charmed me. The Creative Retreat Stamp Set is also really cool, love to play with it.

I hope you like my first project made with the Blue Moon Creative Retreat September Kit. See you soon!

Altenew September Release Blog Hop

Hello Altenew Fans! Welcome to the Altenew September 2016 Release Blog Hop. This time we celebrate the release of 15 new dies, 12 new inks and 36 re-inkers and 2 glitter tape. Isn't that amazing? To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to THREE lucky winners! Just leave a comment on the Altenew blog.

I am very excited you have visited my blog. I have a pretty 8.5"x11" scrapbook layout and also a tutorial for you today. Let's chek them!

How do you like the new inks? I am totally enthousiastic as pink and teal are my favourite colors. For this project I used the new Sea Shore Dye Ink Set and the new Floral Shadow Die Set with Floral Shadow Stamp Set

These new colors are so fresh and vibrant. Must have! I decided to make ombre watercolor effect branches so I could use all the four colors: Mountain Mist, Volcano Lake, Lagoon, Emerald. You can find the tutorial below. When stamping was done I used the Floral Shadow Die Set and my Sizzix and Voila! The pretty die cuts were ready for use.

I completed the layout with Pink Paislee - Paige Evans Take Me Away embellishment, like paper clip, bow and stickers. I also added some sequins to add some shine to my project.

How to create ombre watercolor effect with Altenew Dye Inks?
So here is the tutorial. :)
1. Add the color shades on an acrylic block under each other.
2. Spray water on the ink. You have to experience how much. If water is not enough your print will be imperfect, but if it's too much water the stamped image will be washed-out.
3. Get the ink, stamp with your image into the ink-water combo.
4. Stamp on a watercolor paper or thick cardstock.
5. Experience the result you like and cut out your favourites.
If you like my toturial don't forget to Pin it! ;-)

I really hope you like my projects and I could inspire you to fall in love with the new Altenew inks. I would like to give away one $30 gift certificate to the Altenew Shop. Just live a comment under this blog post by Friday, September 23rd, 11:59pm EST for a chance to win. Good luck! (I will announce the winner in this blog post on September 24th.)

Now it is time to head over and visit Aimee Dow.

Hello Best Mom - Hip Kit Club

Hi Girls! It’s Flóra here today. I have a new 12″ layout made with the August Hip Kits. The starting point of my layout was the Crate Paper – Cute Girl – Rainbows Paper. I could use both side of it, thanks for the August Paper Add-On Kit. Then I found out the flowers from the HKC Exclusive Ephemera pack- Designed by Claudia Van Rooijen are perfectly matching my favourite patterned paper.

After I placed the colorful stripe on the wood grain paper I added zigzag machine stitching with matching colors.

Then I placed my photo on the page. I used an Amy Tangerine – Oh Happy Life – Die Cut from the August Color Kit as and extra layer behind my photo.

When the base was ready I started to adhere embellisments. The big bold Hello title come from the Dear Lizzy – Saturday – Hello Thickers sheet from the August Main Kit. This made my page really characteristic. I used lots of Crate Paper – Cute Girl – Adorable Puffy Thickers and Dear Lizzy – Saturday – Black Foil Stickers from the August Embellishment Kit. These are my favourite embellishments this month.

As finishing touch I scattered tiny colorful enamel dots  from My Mind’s Eye – Hooray  and Crate Paper – Cute Girl collection.

I hope you like my new page. I think the result is so lovely and colorful as we are together with my Mom.😀

Die cut love

Hi there! I am back with a 8.5″x11″ scrapbook layout. This time I made a grid design using Altenew inks and Beautiful Day Stamp Set and Die Bundle. I have to admit that one of my favourite embellishments are die cuts. I regularly run out of them so I thought I will create my own for this project.

The first step of the process was to find the matching inks for the the Pinkfresh Studio Felicity collection what I have used for this page. The Rouge Crisp Dye Ink and the Sea Glass Dye Ink was perfect match. Then I created few stamped images with Beautiful Day Stamp Set and then I cut them out with Sizzix and Beautiful Day Die Set.

I added a stamped image to every square and other tiny embellishments like sequins and stickers. I wanted to make the project more interesting so I machine stitched here and there.

The theme of the layout is winter and spring. In the photo are me and my lovely Füli waiting for spring to come. Also the color choice shows this duality. The cold blue reminds of winter and the warm blush reminds of beautiful spring.

I was studying the design of the collection and tried to create matching die cuts in colors and designs as well. The process was a big fun, I am also satisfied with the result.

I heart Rome with Pink Paislee Take Me Away

Hi there! Today I am sharing a 12" layout made with the awesome Strings Attached cut file set from The Cut Shoppe. I enlarged the one with heart in the middle and cut out from white textured cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo. I made gold machine stitching around the heart to give extra sparkling.

For the layout I used the lovely Pink Paislee - Paige Evans Take Me Away collection. I documented a six years memory when we were in Rome with my parents. The Fontana di Trevi was an unforgettable experience.

I used a vivid pink base for the page so the white cut file pops out very nice. After placing the cut file and the photo I just decorated the page with different embellishments from the collection.

It was so fun to bring back this travel memory. I was even thinking to collect all my journeys in a 12" album. :P We will see!

Amy Tangerine Oh Happy Life Love

Hi! Here is a new layout made with the August Hip Kits. For this layout I used a lot of Amy Tangerine Oh Happy Life pattern papers and embellishments. I love the Ephemera pack from the Main Kit as well as the Sticker Book from the Project Life Kit.

It’s a very simple layout with few paper strips and with slipped photos. I just added a big bold title from Dear Lizzy – Saturday – Hello Thickers included in the August Main Kit.

The clear Amy Tangerine stickers look really vibrant on the white cardstock, so I used a lot. I also added few pastel leaves what I cut out with Silhouette Cameo. These are designed by Kim Watson and only for subscribers available.

I like to play with Amy Tangerine Oh Happy Life collection because the result will be always super fun. Thanks for stopping by today!
